Would Mona be so famous if she had not been stolen? I used some of the newspaper headlines from the time of the famous theft; the writing is in old-fashioned type. Open the little doors and you can see newspaper clippings. I love this piece. I think the colours are perfect to convey the feel of age and the excitement that the theft caused world-wide.
