Playing with our ideas of how things should look, and turning them into how he wants us to look at them, he combines humor, irony, and a keenly honed sense of perception of contemporary culture in his art. Light Beige Crowd plays with our ideas around perception, with a surface intentionally treated so that the images appear to dissolve, evoking ideas of the out-of-focus images of crime investigations that entered into the main stream in the 1950s.
