    Michael Corner’s debut European exhibition, Cliché, examines how the imagery and assumptions of the West continue to shape contemporary culture. Drawing from art history, the paintings bring together past and present, asking viewers to reconsider what we take for granted today while reflecting on the values and beliefs earlier societies once accepted as truth. In Corner’s work, history does not disappear. It survives, rehearses, and reemerges as cliché.
