The book "Paintings" by the visual artist Dulcie Foo Fat, is a retrospective book celebrating the artists 60 year creating oil paintings.
The book includes insightful essays, a biography, and a collection of paintings, most of which are owned privately. It documents the journey of a young female painter who grew up in London and who studied painting in the 60's. As well as the trials of being both a mother and painter in a male dominated field as a newcomer to Canada.
An exciting aspect of this book is that private artworks are now accessible to the public through the creation of this work.
This project was created with the assistance of Clea Anaïs, Dulcie Foo Fat's daughter.
